Writers Victoria is proud to promote and celebrate the literary goings on around the state, connect its members, and help showcase projects and businesses that help make writers shine.
Competitions and Opportunities
Writers Victoria members are always on the look out for new prizes and writing opportunities. Writers Victoria offers space to share your upcoming competition or opportunity with our members. Submit your literary opportunity or competition and we’ll share it with our community of writers on our popular opportunities and competitions page. You can submit your opportunity or competition via our online form here.
Each week, the Writers Victoria team curates a selection of opportunities and competitions from our Opportunities page to feature in the ‘Community’ section of our weekly newsletter.
If you would like to guarantee when, where or how many times your competition or opportunity is promoted, please consider booking a paid advertisement in our weekly newsletter. Information on rates for paid advertisements can be found on our website here. To book a paid advertisement for your opportunity or competition, send an email to [email protected].
Classifieds
A classified can be a great way to contact other members or to promote your events, opportunities or services.
Classifieds are line ads and can be published in our weekly newsletter. Newsletter classifieds are text only and can be up to 75 words in length.
Writers Victoria Members can also opt in for their classifieds to be a collaborative post on our social media platforms.
Members of Writers Victoria receive two free classifieds a year. To book a classified, send an email to [email protected]
Member Milestones
Writers Victoria loves to know what its members are up to, and our members also love to read about each other’s successes. Milestones are important to celebrate, no matter the amount of the prize money or accolades. Let us know if you’ve been published, if you’ve self-published, if you’ve won a competition, been commended in a competition, or been shortlisted for an award.
Each week we mention a selection of our members milestones. Once a month we also post a round-up of member milestones on our social media platforms.
To have your milestone listed in an upcoming issue of our member newsletter please email [email protected]
Listings & classifieds policy
Listings and classifieds are accepted at the discretion of Writers Victoria. Postings will be edited for length, style and to ensure our communications create a safe space for all.
