The Writing Group will meet monthly at the The Wheeler Centre in Melbourne's CBD, providing free access to support and professional development for writers with disability in the place where they live.
Participants in the group will come together to share their work, develop their writing skills and build creative, professional and social connectedness in the City of Melbourne. Writers Victoria will also work with these writers to develop and present public events, as well as commissioning and publishing their writing.
The Wheeler Centre Writing Group will meet Saturdays, from 11am–1pm on the following dates:

- 13 August 2022
- 10 September 2022
- 8 October 2022
Please note that registration preference will be given to those who live in the City of Melbourne LGA.

About Nicole Smith
Nicole Smith is a writer, wheelchair user, coffee addict, AFL footy fan and improviser. She has a Bachelor of Behavioural Science and a Graduate Diploma of English from La Trobe University, and works as a Communications Officer. In September 2014, Nicole won a Writeability Fellowship from Writers Victoria. She has also appeared on Channel 31’s 'No Limits' over two seasons and Channel 31’s 'Chair Chat' over one season; produced/co-produced 3 episodes of 'Chair Chat'; and was a host of SYN Radio’s 'Raise the Platform' in 2013. She has passion for the art of the interview, which is showcased on her blog blankpagesandemptyspaces.com.
