Submissions are open for Science Write Now‘s tenth issue, ‘Underground’
What science can we find beneath our feet? The mysteries of mycology, labs beneath the earth that explore dark matter, or seed banks that prepare us for the apocalypse? How are art and writing shaped by burrowing or building in terra firma?
In this issue, based around the theme of ‘Underground’, we seek new and previously-published craft or creative nonfiction essays, fiction, memoir, and poetry that explores the science of the subterranean.
