We’re thrilled to announce Spiri Tsintziras and Benjamin Hickey as the winners of the Writers Victoria x Edenhope Artist Residency.
Writers Victoria members, Spiri and Benjamin will be supported with time and space to write via this residency, which is kindly supported by the Grace Marion Wilson Trust Fund.Â
The two writers will spend two weeks in Edenhope and receive a $500 stipend. They also have the opportunity to work with Writers Victoria to develop a workshop or seminar for their 2027 program.
- Spiri Tsintziras is set to spend the time working on her project titled Dust, a memoir that explores a secret she has had buried in a storage box for more than 30 years.
- Benjamin Hickey is to work on Common Ruin, a collection of interconnected short stories that explores shifting states of obsession, delusion and morality across a fractured world.
This year the judging committee was impressed by the diversity and quality of work submitted, which ranged from nuanced explorations and genre-shifting works.
