Thursdays By The Fire is a new monthly event featuring a writer, a glass of wine and supper – all in front of a roaring fire in Newport, Victoria.
Our very first event features Thuy On, western suburbs resident and books editor of ‘The Big Issue’ for the last five years. She will talk about her love her books, her career as a book reviewer and her favourite books. She will also talk about The Big Issue’s annual fiction issue which has just been released. She’ll let us know how and why she chose the short stories and pieces that make up the 2017 issue. A vendor for ‘The Big Issue’ will be there selling the fiction edition. Your ticket includes a glass of premium wine provided by Goodwill Wines and you can buy extra glasses on the night. Soft drinks are free and the supper will be a selection of yummy items including gluten free and vegetarian choices.
Tickets are $30 and $25 concession. Thursdays By The Fire is offering a $5 discount on all tickets to the first event on September 28th for Writers Victoria members. Use the code ‘writersvictoria’ to get your discount.
