"To write for teens you need to have respect – for their passion, intelligence, complexities and diversity," says YA author and Write-ability tutor Shivaun Plozza. "Be across what your audience wants and never forget that you write for teens, not simply about them."

Shivaun Plozza is the author of 'Frankie' (Penguin, 2016) and the upcoming 'Tin Heart' (2018). She's also been published in anthologies and journals, and works as a freelance editor and manuscript assessor.

Shivaun will talk about topics including the importance of diversity and #OwnVoices in YA at the Write-bility: What about YA? workshop.
