Werribee: Western Union Writers

WUW or Western Union Writers (Werribee) have been meeting as a writing group for more than 30 years; one of the longest running groups with continuous members in Victoria, if not Australia.

Our aim is to support local writers and writing in the western suburbs, facilitate creative writing events and stimulate creative written and literary expression in the Wyndham community. Inclusive, we are open to all fiction and non-fiction writers – poets, prose writers, novelists, historians, biographers, published, new and young writers.

We meet 2nd Friday of month at 7.30pm.

Venue: Members' houses, mainly in Werribee (but also western suburbs such as Williamstown, Newport, Footscray)

Contact: Secretary, Bronwen Hickman, 9749-2510 or bronhickman@optusnet.com.au

At meetings, fiction, non-fiction and poets read our work and receive feedback and constructive criticism, followed by supper.
