Jill Brown is a writer who specialises in dance. She has a Master of Philosophy in Creative Writing (UQ). For her thesis, she wrote a relational biography on three celebrated dancers (Margot Fonteyn, Sylvie Guillem and Misty Copeland) and an exegesis on the mechanics of biography. Her dance writing appears in Limelight magazine. She serves on the Board of Critical Path, a choreographic research centre that acts as an incubator for experimental dance.
Jill is a publishing professional with more than 20 years’ experience in educational and trade publishing and digital media. She started as an editor and worked up to Publisher, Non-Fiction and Illustrated at Random House Australia; Editorial Director and Lead Writer at Digital Wellness; and Publishing Manager at Aspire Learning Resources.
