In this poetry workshop, Jazz Money leads poets into place and memory. Over the course of the day, learn how to construct and create poetry that marks time and engage with a variety of poetic forms. This workshop will focus on joy-based writing, free of rules and judgement, and provide writing prompts and tools to overcome writers’ block.

About the Tutor

Jazz Money is a Wiradjuri poet and artist based on Gadigal land, Sydney. Her practice is centred around poetics while producing works that encompass installation, performance, film and print. Jazz’s writing and art has been widely presented, performed and published nationally and internationally. Their first poetry collection, the best-selling how to make a basket (UQP, 2021) won the David Unaipon Award, and a second collection is forthcoming through UQP in 2024.
