About the Tutor

Myfanwy Jones is the author of three novels: Cool Water, published 2024; Leap, shortlisted for the 2016 Miles Franklin Literary Award; and The Rainy Season, finalist for the 2010 Melbourne Prize for Literature’s Best Writing Award. She also co-wrote the bestselling Parlour Games for Modern Families, ABIA Book of the Year for Older Children 2010. Alongside her own practice, Myfanwy works as a manuscript assessor and writing mentor and has a particular keenness for structure and the character of place. www.myfanwyajones.com
Jasper Peach (they/them) is a trans, non-binary and disabled writer, speaker and parent. They are passionate about equitable access and inclusion, focused on the dismantling of misplaced shame via storytelling. You’ll Be a Wonderful Parent, an illustrated collection of encouragement and advice for queer parents was their first book, published in 2023. Jasper’s work has also been published in HireUp, The Big Issue, Archer, The Guardian, Australian Poetry Journal, Meanjin, ABC, and SBS online.
Dea Jeremic is the Services and Memberships Officer at Writers Victoria, where she connects authors with assessors and mentors for manuscript assessments, mentorships, and other services. Dea is responsible for the administration of our membership program and is the first point of contact for our members. She holds a BA in Film and Media from Victoria University of Wellington and is also a curator with a background in film production, event coordination and creative programming.
