How do structure and pacing bring your work of fiction or non-fiction to life? Through a combination of writing exercises, discussion and studying examples from a range of literary works, this workshop will give you practical strategies for structuring your own work of fiction or non-fiction. Be inspired by group discussion and contemporary literary works and consider creative ways to approach structure and pacing to reflect the themes, motivations and heart of your writing.

About the Tutor

Katherine Brabon is the award-winning author of the novels The Memory ArtistThe Shut Ins and Body Friend. Her work has received the Vogel’s Literary Award, a NSW Premier’s Literary Award and the David Harold Tribe Fiction Award. Her third novel Body Friend was shortlisted for the Stella Prize and the ALS Gold Medal. She lives in Naarm/Melbourne.
