Practicing a second expressive outlet alongside poetry often brings great rewards. Poets that are also photographers, ceramicists, knitters, painters, gardeners, runners, collectors – we are multitudes.
Come ready to show and tell as we draw on the joy understood in having a side hustle to the side hustle. This workshop will also explore the benefits that naturally emerge from poetic collaboration. Everyone will leave the workshop with the beginnings of poems ready to be written.

About the Tutor

Anne-Marie Te Whiu is an Australian-born Māori who belongs to the Te Rarawa iwi in Hokianga, Aotearoa NZ. She lives on unceded Wangal Country. She is freelance a cultural producer, writer, editor and weaver. Her forthcoming debut poetry collection titled Mettle will be published by University of Queensland Press in 2025.
