Anthologies can be a wonderful way of networking, increasing your literary footprint, contributing to causes you believe in, sharing your experiences, or even starting a writing career. But anthologies have a specific and unique structure, pitching, and publication process that can be opaque from the outside.

About Carly Findlay

Carly Findlay is an award-winning writer, speaker and appearance activist. Carly has the rare, severe skin condition called Ichthyosis. She writes on disability issues for publications including ABC, Daily Life and SBS. She was named as one of Australia’s most influential women in the 2014 Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence Awards. She has appeared on ABC's 'You Can't Ask That' and 'Cyber Hate' with Tara Moss, and has been a regular on various ABC radio programs. Carly's first book 'Say Hello' was published in January 2019. About Rebecca Lim

Rebecca Lim is a writer, editor and illustrator and the author of 19 books, including ‘The Astrologer's Daughter’ (A Kirkus Best Book of 2015 and CBCA Notable Book for Older Readers). Her work has been shortlisted for the Prime Minister's Literary Award, Aurealis Award and Davitt Award, among others, and has been translated into German, French, Turkish, Portuguese and Polish. She is a co-founder of the Voices from the Intersection initiative and a co-editor, with Ambelin Kwaymullina, of ‘Meet Me at the Intersection’, a ground breaking anthology of YA #OwnVoice memoir, poetry and fiction.

About Hope Mathumbu

Hope Mathumbu is a Queer Black South African born woman, who has lived and worked on the sovereign lands of the Kulin Nation since 2003. She is passionate about intersectional feminism, human rights and community development. Her work in public health, radio, arts and various other community development sectors is driven by her belief in the Black African humanist philosophy of Ubuntu.

About Danielle Binks

Danielle Binks is a writer, reviewer, book blogger and Youth Literature Advocate. In 2016 she joined literary agency, Jacinta di Mase Management, as an agent. In 2017, she edited and contributed to Begin, End, Begin: A #LoveOzYA Anthology, of new Australian young adult writing – inspired by the #LoveOzYA movement. Danielle is a graduate of RMIT’s Professional Writing & Editing program, and holds a Bachelor of Communications from Monash University.
