Each participant will create two new poems in response to artworks/poems or places, edit them and then read them to the other participants. With new poems in hand, participants will run through a theatre exercise designed to get them thinking about the stage, space and physicalising poetry.
You will learn
- to get the pen moving
- to deal with writers block
- to write in passion and edit in cold blood
- to think of poems in light of performance and physicality
- to rehearse poems for the stage.
Omar shared his thoughts with us in a Q&A. You can read it on this website.
