Exploring larger themes in your memoir Every person’s life is full of stories waiting to be told. But if you want to be published, you need to think of your memoir as a book first and foremost. This workshop explores ways to extend your memoir beyond the scope of your own life and bring clarity to the theme of your work. It also uses a marketing perspective to help make your memoir more appealing to publishers.

You will learn:

  • the difference between memoir and autobiography and why it matters
  •  how using your memoir as an argument ties your work together
  •  research techniques and approaches to strengthen your writing
  •  how to help readers find context so they can see how your life relates to theirs
  •  the way to bring a marketing angle to your work when pitching to publishers
