Malone Dies by Samuel Beckett is part of the great trilogy written during the post-war ‘siege in the room’. It is essentially the monologue of a dying old man, written in one of the most distinct voices in all of literature. Wildly experimental, darkly funny and profoundly human.

About Wayne Macauley

Wayne is a Melbourne writer whose short fiction has appeared in numerous magazines and journals. He has also published five novels, Blueprints for a Barbed-Wire Canoe, Caravan Story, The Cook, Demons and Some Tests. His novella, Simpson Returns, was released in April 2019.
