Celebrate how words are enriched and empowered from culture to culture. In this workshop, Christine will use examples and anecdotes from a diverse range of projects to illustrate how writers, literary agents and publishers can work with professional translators to engage global markets. Participants will have ample opportunity to practice translating between English and a language of their choice, while discussing the challenges and triumphs in capturing and author's “voice” accurately, fluently and gracefully.

Christine Yunn-Yu Sun is a bilingual writer, translator, reader, reviewer, journalist, independent scholar, and publisher. She assists English-language authors, literary agents and publishers to translate, publish and distribute their titles in Chinese, while helping Chinese-language writers promote their writings in English.
