Join us at the Writers Victoria Library at The Wheeler Centre to help launch ‘Blindness for Beginners: A Renewed Vision of the Possible,’ by Maribel Steel. A blend of memoir and self-help, this unique new book demystifies what it really means to be ‘blind,’ and shows how people who are vision-impaired can retain their independence in daily living activities'

Come and hear Maribel in conversation with Lyndel Caffrey, Write-ability Project Manager for Writers Victoria. ‘Blindness for Beginners’ will be launched by Hazel Edwards, OAM, Author and Patron of the Society of Women Writers VIC.

‘The journey into blindness has given me a clearer 'vision,' a sense of purpose and an unexpectedly positive experience of a life-challenge. My aim is to support those adjusting to sight loss and offer practical techniques as well as successful tips on how to cope emotionally when visually impaired.’
