Many people use their bodies and experiences as material for their writing. In this free webinar, examine short excerpts from poetry, novels, essays and articles to see how writers with disability have described and explored their experiences on the page.

Participants will be encouraged to write either a response to one of these pieces, or a work exploring their own experiences.

This webinar is part of the Write-ability Goes Regional and Online program for writers with disability but is open to everybody.

About Jessica Walton

Jessica Walton is a picture book author, teacher, daughter of a trans parent, and proud queer disabled woman. 'Introducing Teddy' (2016) is her first book, illustrated by the very talented Dougal MacPherson. Jess wrote it to help explain gender identity in a simple, positive way to her young son, after one of her parents came out as transgender. Jess lives in Melbourne with her wife, her two kids, and Archie the cat.
