What are the considerations to take into account when writing women’s history? What is the focus? How personal should you get?

How reliable are memories, interviews, reference books and the internet? And what is the purpose of writing about the past? Presented in association with the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) for the Australian Heritage Festival.

You will learn

  • various ways of writing about women’s history
  • about discussions around feminism then and now
  • how to take different approaches to memoir
  • how to make your book lively, i.e. creative non fiction
  • about different methods of research, and their reliability
