Sarah Mayor Cox
Early, Emerging
In this webinar, Sarah Mayor Cox will explore the relevance of mentor texts to your development as an early or emerging writer.

Mentor texts are exemplars of some aspect, element or device of writing that you may be trying to wrangle in your own work. Using specific examples from a range of mentor texts, Sarah will show you how to learn from the best.

You will learn

  • What is a Mentor Text
  • why early and emerging writers need them
  • how to find Mentor Texts
  • how to deconstruct and mine Mentor Texts
  • how to reflect on your own writing by comparing and contrasting your work to Mentor Texts.

This free webinar is part of the Write-ability Goes Regional and Online program for writers with disability, but it is open to all.
