28 July 2018 - 10:00 to 4:00 PM
Sally Rippin
A fun and practical workshop on writing series fiction for children aged 6–12 years.

Discover what it takes to hook your young reader in, keep them turning the pages and make them fall in love with your characters across more than one book. Find out how to write with authenticity by remembering who you were as a child, and make sure you target the right age group for the story you want to tell.

You will learn

  • how to engage with your child reader
  • what is your natural writing voice
  • what publishers are looking for
  • series fiction versus standalone fiction
  • what to expect when you sign a contract.
