Submissions Open: Melbourne Lockdown Anthology

Date: Fri October 30 2020 12:00 am to Fri October 30 2020 11:59 pm

With: Melbourne Writers Group

Do you have a story inspired or influenced by the 2020 Melbourne lockdown experience? Melbourne Writers’ Group invites emerging writers to submit their short fiction or poems for publication in an anthology prior to Christmas. The goal of this project is to capture and share some of the stories a number of us are writing during these strange times.

We are looking for creative pieces by emerging writers written during this extraordinary period we are all going through, and touching on themes related to COVID-19 and/or the impact of lockdown restrictions in Victoria. The most important thing is that your piece captures something of the moment we are going through as we are living it.

Ideally these will be short stories up to around 3000 words and poems up to 800 words. Selections will be chosen based on quality and overall best fit with the anthology. These stories cannot have been published anywhere else.

Submit completed stories to storiesofmelblockdown@gmail.com by midnight on 30 October. Email any questions to the same address.
