As part of the Regional Rail Revival, Rail Projects Victoria is seeking local artists to deliver two public artworks at Marshall Station.
They are looking to deliver two creative commissions at Marshall Station near south Geelong. The two commissions are a sculptural work and a written word piece that will be delivered for the major station upgrade.
The written word piece is open to emerging to mid-career writers in any genre or form who can interpret and bring to life the area’s industrial past and heritage. Their written word piece will be imprinted throughout the station’s new forecourt.
Artists from underrepresented groups, such as First Nations artists, artists from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, as well as artists with lived experience of disability, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Expressions of interest close 10 September 2023.
