Sandra (Dawn) Harvey was an outstanding print and television journalist who was also the author and co-author of five true crime books.
The SD Harvey Short Crime Story Award, which has been running since 2008, recognises excellence in this genre of writing.
Only fiction entries will be accepted.
The winner will receive a cash prize of $1000.
