Four years in the making, George Kartas and Lucas George are releasing their collaborative poetry-sound album, Mythamorphosis.
Mythamorphosis is a futuristic aural odyssey toward radical consciousness.
Developed over the course of six lockdowns in Naarm, the works include guest contributions from musicians and poets Louise Terry AKA Louise Terra, Manisha Anjali, Sammaneh Pourshafighi, Jake Adam Treacy, Thabani Tshuma, Habani Tshuma, Bridget Chappell AKA Hextape, and Bonnie Packer AKA Judas Goat.
The launch will be a full-length performance of the album, live.

About the artists
George/Georgia Kartas (Γεωργία Κάρτα) is a writer, researcher and performer whose work investigates the relationship between theoretical/quantum physics, postanarchism, and the occult as a pathway to radical re-worlding. George co-runs Thin Red Lines, a quarterly poetry event in Naarm. In 2023, they debuted their poetry-performance lecture show, ‘True Myths’, at La Mama Theatre.
Lucas George is a queer Wiradjuri sound designer and multi-disciplinary artist who has produced, engineered, mixed, and recorded for various artists over the past decade. He has also created soundtracks for award-winning short films such as Lilac (Deyus Films).
