Friends of Paynesville Library Short Story Competition

Date: Fri July 2 2021 12:00 am to Fri July 2 2021 11:59 pm

This Short Story Competition is the tenth for our association. We have been encouraged with the entries we have received over the years—some years better than others. Last year we had record entries and the judge’s commented that the quality of writing was of a high standard. We hope this year is the same. We hope by having this competition that we may encourage writers to submit their work to a competition and to have it judged. The winners seem genuinely excited and delighted when told of their wins. We feel we may encourage new or emerging writers as well as many who have already become authors, and we all look forward to the results of the competition.

We have allowed plenty of time for writers to work on their stories, and are confident that our three judges, selected for their experience and broad knowledge of writing will find three winners of merit The Friends wish all competitors good luck and enjoyable writing.
