
Established in 1943, the Ernest Scott Prize is awarded annually to the most distinguished written contribution to the history of Australia or New Zealand.
Eligible Publications
Authors of submitted publications must normally reside in Australia or New Zealand. Entries to the Ernest Scott Prize must:
- be based on original published research on the history of Australia and/or New Zealand, or the history of colonisation in these countries; and,
- have been published during the two calendars years immediately prior to 1 January 2024.
Submissions close Monday 29 January, 5pm (AEDT).
