Bundoora Homestead Art Centre and Arts Access Victoria present the inaugural Bundoora Nebula Residency, a rare creative opportunity for artists from all disciplines, offering time and space in a unique and supported environment. Eight PAID residencies will be offered in 2017. Each month-long residency will pair two artists, each pairing including one artist with a disability.
Artists will be offered an opportunity to be inspired by each other, and the site, and encouraged to develop new ideas and processes. Artists are not required to present a finished outcome.
The residencies offer space inside Nebula – a revolutionary custom built portable studio as well as spaces within the historic Bundoora Homestead. All spaces will be open to the general public for the duration of the residency.
The Bundoora Nebula Residency Program is open to Australian artists, performers and musicians. Half of the residency positions are reserved for artists with disability, Deaf artists or artists with a lived experience of mental illness. Applications are encouraged from artists at all levels, in all mediums and from diverse backgrounds.
