Do you have a story to tell?
Are you a writer or do you draw pictures?
The Dulcie Stone Writers Competition is back, and we are now open for your entries.
VALiD, in partnership with Writers Victoria, invites you to enter the Dulcie Stone Writers Competition 2023.
The competition is designed to showcase the voices of people with intellectual disability and recognises the lifetime contribution of Dulcie Stone to services for people with intellectual disability and writing.
This year we are inviting submissions on any theme you want to write about. So that means – things that are important to you, issues you want to make a noise about, friends and family, your community, an exciting thing you have done or something you have achieved, someone you have met, a made up story … some science fiction perhaps? Absolutely anything!
Works can be of any length up to a maximum of 1,000 words or a storyboard of up to 3 x A4 pages of drawings.
