2018 Committee of Management nominations

Writers Victoria is guided by a volunteer Committee of Management, the majority of which is elected from and by our membership.

Three positions on the Committee of Management will be declared vacant at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on Wednesday 28 March 2018.

To nominate yourself for a position on the Committee of Management, please complete this nomination form and return it via:

-EMAIL (preferred): to Alexis on info@writersvictoria.org.au (from the email address we have on your membership record), or
-POST: Writers Victoria, Level 3, the Wheeler Centre, 176 Little Lonsdale Street, Melbourne.

Please note the following guidelines when nominating yourself for the Writers Victoria Committee of Management:

– Only people who have been financial members of Writers Victoria for more than 30 business days may nominate as candidates.

– You do not need to ask another member to nominate you.

– Please enclose a short biography (up to 150 words) and a brief statement (up to 150 words) to support your nomination (including why you wish to join the Committee of Management and what skills you think you could contribute).

– Nominations must be received (not postmarked) no later than 9am on Tuesday 6 March 2018.

If successful, you will be expected to: attend six evening Committee meetings per year; attend other ad hoc meetings and planning days; join at least one subcommittee; contribute time and expertise in between meetings (approximately 6 hours per month); and act as an ambassador for Writers Victoria. Provisions can be made for regional members and access requirements.
