Summary:
A memoir is so much more than a description of “what happened to me”. It requires a thoughtful excavation of the self and empathy with your imagined readers. Explore how to find the right voice for telling your story; how to separate the ‘story’ from the ‘situation’ you want to write about; how to create vivid characters from real people; how to ask the right questions; where to find the answers; and how to prepare a persuasive publishing proposal.
