Online Feedback Clinic: Advanced Short Story
Summary:A short story ought to sustain both attention and imagination – a great short story leads the reader into a world where attention to detail is sustained by economy, complexity and depth. Rashida will guide writers to combine elements of the personal and social imaginary to create layered, nuanced stories. Some visual and word prompts may be provided to explore the links between language and form. There will be targeted feedback for improving your writing.
Pieces of up to 1500 words due 26 July, 30 August, 27 September, 25 October , 22 November.
Our Online Feedback Clinics are asynchronous, with no face-to-face meetings, allowing you to engage with the content at the times of day and week that suit your schedule. They are hosted on our private Wordpress server. There will be an optional Zoom introduction to the clinic website for those less confident with technology, which will be recorded for those who cannot attend live. For more information on our online feedback clinics, please read our FAQs.
