Williamstown Literary Festival

The annual Williamstown Literary Festival is the biggest writers festival in the western suburbs. The festival has a strong focus on local participation, with the annual Peoples Choice awards showcasing aspiring local writers and poets. Two competitions, the Ada Cambridge Biographical Prize and the Seagulls Poetry Prize are run annually with the winners being announced at the festival’s opening night.

Events include panels, interviews, workshops for children, teenagers and adults, film, readings, storytelling and games. Writers of all genres including poetry, novels, non-fiction, blogging, science fiction, romance, drama, television and sports.
