Tuesday, May 1, 2018

Regional writing groups and organisations in Victoria are able to apply for grants of $880 to subsidise literary activities in their area, thanks to the support of the Grace Marion Wilson Trust.

Applicants must be current regional members of Writers Victoria (in the non-profit organisation or regional writers’ group membership category), or Regional Ambassadors, and based in one of the 48 Local Government Authorities in Regional Victoria as listed on the Creative Victoria website.

If your organisation is not a member, please renew your membership or join us prior to submitting your application.

All activities must take place in regional Victoria (within one of the 48 Local Government Authorities in Regional Victoria listed, as listed on the Creative Victoria website).

How to apply

The number of grants is limited, and applications will be assessed on merit. Writers Victoria is particularly keen to see applications from groups that have not received funding before, as well as from previous recipients seeking to deliver literary activities in new areas.

To apply, please complete the application form and email your form to director@writersvictoria.org.au by 9am Monday 28 May 2018.

“Stories of Influence fosters storytelling in multiple forms, weaving over the course of two nights and two days into an overall message of country and community whose aim might be as large or as small as asking us to create new ways of being as Australians.”
Interest is growing in stories that explode myths on which we grew up, enabling us to work together instead of in isolation. Published writers, storytellers and emerging writers craft old stories with new insights in engaging ways.
