The Novel
Saturday 28 July 2012 - Saturday 24 November 2012
Saturdays, 10am – 4pm. 28 July, 18 August, 29 September, 27 October & 24 November
This course will encourage both early and emerging writers to work towards the completion of a novel. Lectures and discussions on voice, character, point of view, dialogue, place and plot will assist participants with the technical challenges of novel writing. Practical writing exercises will be used to encourage you to write and inspire you to stay with the project until you have a finished work.
All participants must be willing to workshop their own writing as part of the course and to read the novella Foster by Clare Keegan as required reading prior to the course start. This publication can be purchased through the book depository or from Readings.
