Power Editing: Seven ways to supercharge your writing
Saturday 2 March 2013, 10:00AM - 4:00PM
Whether you sell to a major house or indie-publish your own book, your story must grab publishers and readers while delivering on its promise. Valerie shows you seven ways to reach these goals and provides a power-editing checklist you’ll use in all your writing. After twelve years of working with writers through the Valerie Parv Award run by Romance Writers of Australia (most of the winners are now published), as well as judging the inaugural Writing Australia Unpublished Manuscript Award, Valerie has a unique insight into the editing process. In this workshop she shares the techniques she uses as a mentor and in her seventy-plus internationally published books.
Valerie Parv is known as Australia’s queen of romance with over sixty novels to her name and twenty-five million copies of her books sold internationally, including many Waldenbooks bestsellers. Valerie’s short fiction is also regularly featured in national magazines.
