Writers' studios
Writing studios currently available for rent and residency with Writers Victoria include:
Glenfern, East St Kilda
Glenfern Writers' Studios provide nine studio spaces for writers in the peaceful environs of Glenfern, a Victorian Gothic mansion in St Kilda East.
The studios are available at low rates for periods of 1–6 months, with the possibility to negotiate an extension to 12 months.
The studios are a joint initiative of the National Trust of Australia (VIC) and Writers Victoria.
Fellowships are available to help pay for the cost of a studio.

Cells for Writers offers the unique opportunity to work in studios at Old Melbourne Gaol, right in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Writers keen to work somewhere with atmosphere can apply through the program for a studio.
Cells on the top floor of the historic gaol have been converted to sparse studios fitted with just a desk and chair.
