Regional partnerships

Writers Victoria Regional Partnerships Program 2012 Writers Victoria is committed to supporting writers throughout Victoria and is keenly aware of the geographical limitations experienced by its regional members. We are offering to partner with groups and festivals to deliver customised workshops and literary events designed to meet the needs of regional writers and audiences.

**The first funding round of the 2012 Regional Partnerships Program is now closed. A second round will be held in the latter part of 2012.

Congratulations to the following regional groups who were successful in their application for a Writers Victoria Regional Partnerships Program in 2011:
Apollo Bay Arts Inc., Bass Coast Writers Inc, Baw Baw Writers’ Network, Bendigo Writers’ Council, Clunes Booktown, Goulburn Valley Writers Inc, Lazy River Writers, Port Fairy Festival of Words, Western Union Writers, Arts Council of Mansfield, Macedon Ranges Writers Group, The Castlemaine U3A Inc. and Woodend Winter Arts Festival.

Overall, twelve regional workshops and presentations were delivered across the year with three more activities to take place in 2012 through Round Two funding of the 2011 Program.

Writing from Life: Workshop for memoir, Life Writing, Fiction and Non-Fiction with Arnold Zable. Friday 8 June, 10am – 4pm. Leadlight Room, Holgate’s Brewhouse. $95 / $90 (lunch included) Max 15 participants. Bookings essential.

Enticing a Publisher: Writing a Convincing Book Proposal With Rhonda Whitton. Leadlight Room, Holgate Brewhouse. Saturday 9 June, 1 – 3pm. $45 / $40 Bookings essential.
