Fellowships

Writers Victoria offers a number of fellowships to support writers across a range of disciplines.

Applications are now open for the following Fellowship:

This inaugural Fellowship offers Australian writers the opportunity to work on a writing project for one month in Galle, Sri Lanka in 2013.

The following Fellowships will be open for application in the second half of 2013:

The use of a Glenfern writers’ studio is awarded to three writers who are established, with a proven track record of published prose, poetry or works written for performance.

The use of a Glenfern writers’ studio for three months is awarded to three emerging writers who are working on their first or second work.

The following Fellowship has been awarded in 2013:

The Hazel Rowley Literary Fellowship has been established to encourage Australian authors to attain a high standard of biography writing and to commemorate the life, ideas and writing of Hazel Rowley (1951–2011).

The following Fellowship was awarded in 2012:

This Fellowship is currently underway. Six emerging playwrights are being mentored by Raimondo Cortese. Each writer has had their script professionally appraised and has ten hours of mentoring to further develop their work.
