WEBINAR: Crafting relevant and interesting pitches and starting conversations with clients and editors is central to establishing a career as a working writer — one that will sustain you creatively and financially in the long term. This course will introduce you to the basics of pitching, show you how to tailor ideas for different outlets and give you actionable tips for fostering professional relationships that can allow your writing practice to evolve.

You will learn:

  • How to find and vet ideas for essays, feature articles and writing projects
  • How to identify an angle rather than a topic
  • How to research and craft an interesting pitch
  • How to build ongoing relationships with clients
  • How to deal with failure and rejection and refine your ideas

This session is a webinar and takes place online. You can access it online from your own home and/or office.
