The Casey Writers Project is a three-year program of workshops, clinics and salons for writers in the City of Casey to develop their writing craft. Suitable for all writers. Proudly supported by the City of Casey and presented in association with Casey Cardinia Libraries.

You’ve completed your first draft and there’s still much work to be done. How do you tighten and also enrich your first draft with details? What do you cut and what do you add to lift your manuscript from text to texture?

You will learn about:

  • character and setting,
  • the art of minimalism in dialogue tags,
  • why adverbs are the work of the devil.
