Bendigo is, geographically-speaking, right at the centre of Victoria, so it's fitting that Writers Victoria head to town to celebrate their 30th anniversary. Kate Cuthbert hosts four very different writers, whose work proves the extraordinary range of voices within this creative community.

Information and tickets here.

Jarad Henry has worked in the criminal justice system for more than ten years, and is currently with the Police Drug Strategy Unit in Melbourne. He has a degree in criminology and regularly speaks about crime trends at conferences and seminars. Jarad's debut crime novel, Head Shot, was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier's Literary Awards, and for the Ned Kelly Awards Best First Crime Novel. Blood Sunset won the Fellowship of Australian Writers' Jim Hamilton Award, and was shortlisted for The Australian/Vogel Literary Award.

Anna Snoekstra was born in Canberra, Australia in 1988. She studied Creative Writing and Cinema at Melbourne University, followed by Screenwriting at RMIT University. Anna's short films and music videos have screened around the world. She has written an array of published and award winning short fiction. Her debut novel Only Daughter was published in 2016. Her second novel is Little Secrets.

Fiona Lowe has been a midwife, a sexual health counsellor and a family support worker; an ideal career for an author who writes novels about family and relationships. A recipient of the prestigious USA RITA® award and the Australian RuBY award, Fiona's books are set in small country towns and feature real people facing tough choices. When she's not writing, she's a distracted wife, a mother of sons, a volunteer in her community, guardian of 80 rose bushes, slave to a cat and is often found collapsed on the couch with wine.
