Bram Presser is a semi-reformed punk rocker, recovering academic, occasional criminal lawyer and two-time cartoon character. In 2011, he won The Age Short Story Award and since then his stories have appeared in Best Australian Stories, Award Winning Australian Writing, The Sleepers Almanac and Higher Arc. His debut novel, The Book of Dirt (Text Publishing 2017), was published in Australia to wide acclaim and went on to win the NSW Premier’s Literary Award for Fiction, Best New Writer and People’s Choice Award in 2018, as well as the Voss Literary Prize. The novel was published in the USA in 2018 and recently won the Goldberg Prize for Debut Fiction at the National Jewish Book Awards.

Mark Brandi's bestselling novel, Wimmera, won the British Crime Writers' Association Debut Dagger, and was named Best Debut at the Australian Indie Book Awards. It was shortlisted for the Australian Book Industry Awards Literary Fiction Book of the Year, and the Matt Richell Award for New Writer of the Year. His second novel, The Rip, is out now.

Anna Snoekstra is the bestselling author of crime novels Only Daughter, Little Secrets and The Spite Game. She also recently released her first book for young adults, Mercy Point. Her short work has appeared in The Guardian, Meanjin and The Griffith Review and she is a regular contributor to Lindsay Quarterly. She also teaches storytelling at RMIT University and Coordinates the Write Club at 100 Story Building

Angela Savage always wanted to be a writer, but figured she needed to live an interesting life first in order to have something worth writing about. She spent most of the 1990s living and working on HIV projects in Southeast Asia, before returning to Australia, where she alternated between writing fiction and working in the community sector. Her debut novel, 'Behind the Night Bazaar', won the 2004 Victorian Premier's Award for an Unpublished Manuscript, and she won the 2011 Scarlet Stiletto Award for short fiction. Angela holds a PhD in Creative Writing from Monash University, giving her the Bond villain-like title of Doctor Savage. Her new novel 'Mother of Pearl' is published by Transit Lounge in August 2019.
