LGBTQIA+ Artists with Disability – Skills Development Program
What is Midsumma Pathways?
Midsumma Pathways is the new capacity building, skill development program designed for queer identifying artists with disability. A small group of selected participants will develop skills in their creative practice and will be introduced to the broader LGBTQIA+ creative communities and venues.
This is a sister program to Midsumma Futures, our highly successful mentorship program for early career LGBTQIA+ artists, which started in 2017. Midsumma Pathways is an extension of the initiative, specially designed for people living with disability.
Midsumma considers disability communities a very high priority, as demonstrated through a range of other access initiatives in our work for the 2017 and 2018 Midsumma Festivals.
